LAKSHMI GANAPATHI FILMS HAS BOUGHT HAS BOUGHT MANMADHAN AMBU AND 7 AAM ARIVU DUBBING RIGHTS

Lakshmi Ganapathi Films had brought in several successful dubbing films right from the Hollywood to Kollywood is back on high spirits after a long pause.

B. Subramanyam the chief of the house released a press report that the house locked the dubbing rights of two high budget Tamil movies. One is Kamal Hassan starrer Manmadhan Ambu and Ezhanam Arivu starring Suriya, Shruthi Hassan for a sky-high price.

7aam Arivu’s movie is directed by Murugadoss and Manmadhan Ambu is being directed by K.S. Ravikumar.Both these flicks are coming under Red Giant Movies banner produced by Udhyanidhi Stalin.

The chief of LGF says we locked these films with facing heavy competition from top producers from Tollywood.He is expecting that these big budget films will replicate Robo collections in Telugu.

HERO VIKRAM MAKES APPEALS TO KOLLYWOOD DIRECTORS

Hero Vikram seems to be worried about directors becoming heroes in South Film Industry, especially in Tamil films!

Since the past one years many directors have become heroes like Sasikumar (who appears in the final scene of the Ravi Teja's Sambo Siva Sambo movie).

Speaking at a function he said that with such conversion he and other heroes are not able to understand on who the hero and who the director is!

"My films have reduced since the directors are busy churning out films with themselves as heroes" he lamented!

Trisha says that she is not in a hurry to get married

Trisha made her debut in the tinsel world in 1999. Films like Sami, Ghilli, Mounam Pesiyadhe, Thirupachi and Aaru made her a leading actress. She had paired with leading actors in Telugu films. She was introduced in Hindi through the film Khatta Meeta.

Now she has paired with Kamal in Manmadha Ambu which is to be released shortly. She has been signed to pair with Ajith in Mangaatha. Trisha is aged 27 years. There was news that Trisha will get married after the completion of Mangaatha.

Now only I am getting proper recognition. Many are saying that the Hindi film Khatta Meeta in which I had acted was not a hit. My duty is to act. I don’t think about the film success or failure. By acting in Hindi film, I have lot of good friends there.”

When asked Trisha about this, she said,” I have been in cinema for the last 8 years. Initially I had acted in films which had lesser story values. But in recent times I am acting in films which have good stories. The films Abhiyum Naanum and Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya had good stories. I am also acting in the film Manmadha Ambu. My ambition is to become number one. Because of this I am not in hurry for marriage.

THAMANNA SAYS THAT SALARY IS NOT IMPORTANT FOR HER

Thamanna is bounded with lot of controversies. There is news that she has hiked her salary due to her continuous hits. It seems she has refused to act in Lingusamy’s Vettai because she did not get the demanded salary.

There are also news that she is in love with Karthi. When asked her about this, she said,” There is no truth in the news that I am demanding excessive salary. Money is not important for me.

My idea is to act in good films. I decide to act in films based on the story and other criteria. There are various reasons for me not to act in the film Vettai. I have high regards for Lingusamy.

It was a beautiful and sweet experience for me to act in his Paiyya. I liked the story of Vettai narrated to me. But I did not have the call sheet. Currently I am acting in two Telugu films and one Tamil film. I will also be pairing with Dhanush in a film to be directed by Hari.

I am also been signed to pair with Junior NTR. When I am so busy, how is it possible for me to act in Vettai? There are also rumors that I am in love with Karthi. It is not true. I have refused this many times earlier.”

DIWALI RELEASE MOVIES

Three Big movies are releasing this Diwali to fall on November 5, 2010. Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa which is touted to be an intense love story that moves each and everyone is on its way. The film had already given sleepless nights to its distributor ‘Udhayanidhi Stalin’ of Red Giant Movies.

Va Quarter Cutting is another film which is well marketed by the film’s story taking place within twelve hours from evening to the next day morning had already raised some level of anticipation. This quirky entertainer is about the slums of Chennai once again very much as their earlier outing ‘Orampo Auto’.

Another film for Diwali is Uththamaputhiran which has Dhanush and Genelia in the lead and hence the hype. Dhanush will be pitted against Rajinikanth to make collections possible amidst Endhiran’s roaring success.

Even though these films are releasing on November 5, Endhiran will be sold largely on Diwali and will give a tough fight to the other films. Theaters insist on showing Endhiran and hence, these films releasing on Diwali will get smaller screens from the multiplexes.

These three films have started their newspaper ad campaigns with theater names on them but still there is hesitation among distributors to take these films.

3 IDIOTS FROM DECEMBER 6

Yesterday, official confirmations about the ‘3 Idiots’ remake were made by some of the closer sources of S Pictures. Now it has been revealed that first Shankar may start shooting for the Telugu version.

According to the sources, the film is scheduled to go on floors on December 6 as call sheets of Mahesh Babu are not hectic at that point. With Vijay, nothing has been confirmed. As of now, Jeeva has been confirmed the other lead role while details on other actor isn’t finalized yet. It may be either Siddarth or Arya as the duo has gained popularity across Telugu and Tamil film industries.

Harris Jayaraj has completed couple of tunes for Telugu version and Manoj Paramahamsa will handle cinematography.

Shankar may begin the shooting of the Telugu version of 3 Idiots in December

Director Shankar may begin the shooting of the Telugu version of 3 Idiots in December as he had already obtained the call sheet of Mahesh Babu. The Tamil version will begin sometime later as Vijay’s dates are mixed up with his other projects.

Jiiva is set to play one of the roles in Tamil. There is a talk that Siddharth and Arya are in the race for yet another important role. Shankar may rope in either of them as both enjoy immense popularity in Kollywood and Tollywood.

So, for now, the Tamil version still looks bleak with nothing finalized.
