The couple got married last month and had a brief celebratory getaway on an island near Bangkok with close family and friends. Thereafter, Imran was supposed to take Avantika for an uninterrupted honeymoon to an exotic island, possibly Hawaii, but the actor’s Bollywood projects have spoiled the fun.We hear that Imran will now commit himself to the shooting of his two films -- Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Katrina Kaif and Short Term Shaadi with Kareena Kapoor -- till the middle of this year.
As a consolation he has promised Avantika to make up for the lost honeymoon later on. But we think when it comes to honeymoon, timing is everything. It’s got to be right after the wedding, when a couple is still letting the fact of their matrimony sink in.
